Raquel R. Dittman is the owner of Total Beauty Salon and of Your Total Beauty Products, a product line that specializes in nanotechnology with heat wave technology which is free of sulfates and whose contents are composed of natural and organic hair ingredients. She has an Associate of Arts Degree in General Studies with a concentration in Business Management from Truckee Meadows Community College. She attended Hartnell College in Salinas, California where she pursued a degree in Child Development.
In her professional career, Mrs. Dittman was among the committee of professors who developed and implemented the curriculum at Salinas Beauty College which was the fundamental basis for the cosmetology program. Furthermore, she assisted in applying a Student conflict resolution team programs for El Sausal Middle School to reduce bullying. In Reno, she has participated and successfully completed Jeffery Benjamin’s Breakthrough Leadership Program and the NXLevel Business course from University of Nevada, Reno.
Mrs. Dittman has been in the beauty business since 1974. She studied in Salinas, California, Miami, Florida, and Guadalajara, Jalisco (Mexico). She became a cosmetology instructor in 1976 and a model in 1977. She taught cosmetology in Salinas, San Francisco, and in her hometown, Atotonilco El Alto, Jalisco plus she has owned beauty salons in Mexico, Miami, and currently in Reno.
Mrs. Dittman has been profoundly involved in Reno cosmetology and beauty events since the opening of her beauty salon, Total Beauty, in 2009. She has sponsored multiple candidates who have participated in several beauty pageants and magazine contests. Her candidates have won the following titles:
Mis Quince magazine cover page contest in 2012,Mis Quince Most photogenic girl in 2012, Mis Quince Quinceañera prize in 2012, Miss Cinco de Mayo 2012, Miss Cinco de Mayo 2013, Miss Washoe County 2014, and the cover page of the National Quinceañera Magazine in 2013 and 2014.
Mrs. Dittman’s multicultural background and bilingual capacity puts her in a unique position because she is able to connect with her diverse clientele and make them feel comfortable. In the near future, she looks forward to expand her beauty business to include courses in personal image and business etiquette.
